There’s something magical about fall, that crisp air, the smell of bonfires and cinnamon, the excuse to wear cozy layers and watch your favorite comfort movies on repeat. Here at Loverly Grey, we decided to make this season even more fun by pulling together a little team collaboration: our favorite things about fall. From go-to outfits and comfort foods to timeless movies and fall traditions, here’s what Team Loverly is loving most this season.
Cozy Movie Marathons
When it comes to setting the tone for the season, there’s nothing quite like a cozy movie night. You’ve Got Mail reigns supreme around here (it’s practically our team anthem this time of year). Little Women, Harry Potter, and Gilmore Girls are always on rotation, too, each one giving that nostalgic, sweater-weather feeling we can’t get enough of.
A few of us love to mix in Father of the Bride for the ultimate comfort watch, while others add a little magic (and a hint of nostalgia) with Practical Magic, Hocus Pocus, or It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Whether it’s college football in the background or a cozy rom-com on the couch, our screens are full of fall vibes right now.
Fall Fashion We’re Loving
Fall fashion has a way of making even a simple day feel special, and our team is leaning fully into all things cozy and classic. Think oversized sweaters, lounge sets, and matching co-ord looks that make working from home or heading to brunch feel equally chic.
We’re pairing boots with everything, from denim and cardigans to sweater dresses, and fully embracing the socks-and-Birkenstocks trend (yes, we approve!). Layers are the name of the game, and you’ll find our team wrapped in coats, trenches, and cozy knits on repeat.
If fall had a uniform, it would be this: a soft sweater, comfy pants, and a pumpkin-spice-scented candle burning nearby.
Food & Drinks That Feel Like Fall
The quickest way to feel like it’s fall? Something warm in your hands and something comforting on your plate. Around here, chili is practically its own food group, hearty, simple, and perfect for football season. We’re also big fans of pumpkin dip, apple cider, and pumpkin muffins (bonus points for Pillsbury pumpkin cookies on movie nights).
For the sweet tooths on the team, pumpkin pie, apple cider donuts, and pumpkin spice everything are a must. Others lean savory, crawfish corn bisque and game-day dips make a frequent appearance in our kitchens this time of year. And when the weekend rolls around, you’ll find a few of us enjoying a Pumpking IPA, a cold cider, or a chai latte on the porch- perfection.
Fall Traditions & Cozy Activities
If there’s one thing our team can agree on, it’s that fall is for football. Whether it’s cheering on Georgia on a Saturday or heading to a state game, our weekends revolve around tailgates, snacks, and team spirit.
We also love getting outside while the weather’s perfect,Washington Farms, pumpkin patches, mountain trips to Asheville or Cashiers, and leaf-watching hikes in North Georgia are all team favorites. At home, fall means porch decorating with pumpkins and mums, baking nights, and the occasional pumpkin painting party. There’s something about slowing down and embracing the season that feels extra special.
Making Home Feel Like Fall
When it comes to home décor, we all agree: cozy is key. Think velvet pumpkins, heirloom pumpkins stacked on the porch, and fall-scented candles burning in every room. Throw in a soft blanket, fall florals, or a pheasant feather wreath, and suddenly your space feels like the perfect autumn retreat.
We also love adding little touches throughout the house, mini pumpkins as table centerpieces, earthy wooden accents, and glass pumpkins sprinkled on shelves for a subtle pop of fall charm. Whether you go all-out or keep it simple, a few thoughtful swaps can transform your home for the season.
Wrapping It Up
From cozy nights watching Gilmore Girls to Saturdays filled with football and chili, our team is fully embracing all things fall, and loving every second. This round-up has been such a fun collaboration with the Loverly Grey team, and we hope it inspires you to cozy up, slow down, and soak in every golden leaf and pumpkin-scented moment.
