85. Lillie Eats & Tells | Healthy + Easy Meal Planning Even Picky Eaters Will Love



After a long day, whether at work or running after the kids, the last thing you want to think about is cooking up dinner. I mean, with picky eaters and piling up dishes, ordering take out sounds prettyyyy nice most nights.

But, as we all know, it’s best to know what’s going into the food we are eating. 

So how can we make cooking more simple AND healthy for ourselves and our families?

Thankfully, Brittany is inviting cookbook author, content creator, and Macro queen, Lillie Biesinger, onto the podcast today to answer just this.

After embracing the Macro Counting lifestyle (you’ll learn more about this in just a second!), Lillie began to see great results in her physical and mental health. But there was no way she was going to eat a Laughing Cow cheese wedge mixed into egg whites for the rest of her days. 

Now THAT is something we can all relate to.

Cooking was far too important in her life, and she wanted to include her kids, in a healthy way, into her love of cooking and food.

So she set out on a mission to create her OWN real, satisfying, DELICIOUS meals. Meals heavy with flavor and variety, and even with size and volume, and yet light on macros!

So, really quickly, here is some information on exactly what a macro is, just so you know it’s not all that complex if you wanted to look into what ‘counting macros’ look like!

‘Macros’ refers to the word MacroNutrients which are your Carbs, Fats, and Proteins. Essentially, it’s a more detailed way to track calories. But! On our health journeys, if our goal is to lose weight, we want to make sure we are targeting losing body fat and keeping muscle. This is where protein consumption matters a lot! You’ll hear Lillie chat about exactly how to create protein-filled meals throughout the episode.
